Last Day at Fredonia

Dec 19th I finished up all of my finals, packed almost all of my stuff in my dorm room, and started loading up the car. I think everything might possibly fit but I will have to see tomorrow cause the weather is so bad today that I can't go home...gotta love winter in Fredonia. But winter in Rockhampton, on the Tropic of Capricorn doesn't look like it will be too bad.
Although it's sad to leave Fredonia for the semester I know that I will still be connected to everyone and I will see many of them during move in weekend if not the missions trip the week before. I've looking forward to what these next few months will bring. In two months I will have completed Polymer Chemistry, an Independent Study for Education, planned and run the missions trip, and visited friends. Overall the break looks promising although it will be busy.

Dec 20th After an additional few hours loading up the car due to having to walk the stuff over and have Katie's mom drive the rest I finally headed home. It only took two jumps, a tow truck, a garage, and a new car battery. What a great way to leave Fredonia. Thankfully I get another few days there in January.

Prepping For Australia

Since deciding to go to Central Queensland University for Spring 2009 I've learned more about the details of planning a large trip.  Things like getting a passport, applying to multiple places, trying to juggle being registered at two universities with a third one in the mix, are all very complicated.  But as I iron out the details and wait for my official acceptance to CQU so I can get a visa, I'm confident that Australia is where I'm supposed to be for Feb-June.  I've looked into where I'm living which seems to be strict but a nice oncampus location.  It also serves 21 meals a week unlike Fredonia, although times are limited.  The website for Capricornia College is http://college.cqu.edu.au/FCWViewer/view.do?site=33 .  Check it out.  Another useful link is the time conversion page cause I will be communicating primarily through Skype and AIM both of which my user name is KathrynP9999.  http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/meetingtime.html?month=2&day=27&year=2008&p1=1498&p2=179&p3=-1&p4=-1 Now I just have to finish all of the paperwork, get travel details set, and continue my busy life at Fredonia.  :)
